Preamble: Access Testing has uncovered another method of accessing the unconscious which is also related to dreams and mythologies. One cannot become an expert in Baum Analysis unless one also learns to see the connections between the elements that emerge in the Baums and the dream work of the Human Mind. The second part of the workshop will focus on these issues.

Courses Under Continuing Education Program of USM: Some Suggestions
Preamble: It is now quite well accepted that education is a life -long process and that age is not something that should stand in the way of formal education. Education in the genuine sense is for SELF DEVELOPMENT and such education is something that universities and such higher level institutions should cater for. The universiti Sains Malaysia, has started this program in order ot offer this kind of education for the general public and others who would benefit by developing their own personnel. The industrial institutions, schools, colleges and so forth can also benefit by such courses as they serve to develop individuals and better developed individuals are not only more productive but much easier to manage.
The courses to be offered under this program by the School of Educational Studies are as follows:
1. Access Tests and Agamic Psychology Part1
Introduction to Access Tests such as BaumTests and Family Portrait Test; training in their use for self understanding and counseling
2. Access Tests and Agamic Psychology Part II
The principles of Hermeneutic Semiotics, Theories of Dreams , mythologies folklore and such phenomena related to the Unconscious; The connection between Dream Interpretation and Baum Analysis, More on Hermeneutic Counseling
3. Agamic Psychology and Management
The theory of personality in Agamic Psychology, Social organizations and Social relationships ; the role of ethics in human relationships; Establishing happy and Productive Social atmosphere, Personal Growth and Social

4. Taoism and Tantric Psychology
The Eastern Theories of Unconscious with particular reference to Indian and Chinese; Similarities in the notions of Yin-Yang and Bindu-Natham; Access Tests and their Relevance for Modernizing these Ancient Traditions; Similarities and Differences with the West; Religious Life and Psychology; Metaphysics of Existence
5. Sufi Islam and Tantric Psychology
The focus will on the psychological ideas of Sufi philosophers of Persia such as Jilani Qunawi and so forth. Where relevant the contributions of Imam Ghazalai and that of Tamil sufies such as Kungkudi Mastan and so forth will be taken. Attention will be drawn to the similarities and differences that exist.
6. The History of Dravidian Philosophy Part 1
The Sumerian beginnings of Dravidian Philosophy and Religion; The Sumerian beginnings of Hermeneutics. An intensive study of Tolkappiyam and how it contributed to the development of different fields of Hermeneutic Science
7.The History of Dravidian Philosophy Part II
The development of Epistemology and Logic within Hermeneutics. The impact on Buddhism, Jainism and Vedantic Traditions. The Logic of Hermeneutic Science as expounded by Meykandar. Ethics within Hermeneutics
6. The History of Dravidian Philosophy PartIII
The metaphysica Universalis of Meykandar The Existential Philosophy of Arunandi, Post meykandar Develoopments in Metaphysics and related fields.
8. Sumero-Dravidian Studies
Lexical Correspondences between Tamil and other Dravidian Languages; Lexical connections with Malay and other SEA languages. The Sumerian beginnings of Dravidian Religions and Philosophy
9. Additional courses on the Philosophy of Tolkaapiyam, Thrumanthiram, Thevarath Thirumurai and so forth are possible if there are demands for them.
COURSE STRUCTURE
All courses listed above are designed as 20 hr courses which may be conducted singly or in parallel depending on the demand. They also can be conducted in the THREE languages : Bahasa Malaysia, English and where requested in Tamil

Course Presenetations:
Intensive courses: 5 days with a 4 hr session each day
Monthly courses: 4 Sundays (Fridays) with 5 hr sessions each day
Other: A 10 day session with each session lasting 2 hrs at le4ast on days that are to be negotiated.
Course Organisation:
It is preferred that invitations are send by a well established organization or an individual who is willing to serve as the organizer. The organizer will be responsible for the location, inviting the participants, ensuring the payment of fees and other such administrative details. He will liase with USM for determining the administrative details.
FEES ( For Malaysians)
a. For Malyasian participants numbering between 20 -40: RM 150.00; Above 40: RM120.00: Between 10-20: Rm200.00
If courses are to be conducted outside Penang, additional travelling , accommodation and food expenses must also be paid. The amount is negotiable.

Interested organizations and individuals should contact USM to negotiate the details.
Certification:
At the successful conclusion of every course a certificate of attendance will be officially issued by USM. The certificate will bear the LOGO of USM and will be signed by the DEAN of the School of Educational Studies and course instructor.
EXTENTION SERVICES
1. When problems are faced in the interpretation of the ACCESS TESTS, professional consultancies are available for a fee of RM50.00 only
2. Soon there will be a separate HOME PAGE for Agamic Psychology with a FORUM in which there will be Chat Rooms and Message Boards. For a small entry fee, a person can become a member of FORUM where you can enter into discussions with experts on the field. At the moment D. K. Loganathan will be controller of the forum

In addition to contributing to the personal development of individuals and thereby to the manpower enhancement of Malaysia and considering that the targeted audience are international in character and hence becoming better known internationally, there are financial benefits as well.
